Our aims are to encourage the enjoyment of our rich wildlife. Ancient Society of York Florists Oldest existing Society of its kind in Great Britain. It was re-formed in 1768 from an existing Society which was operating prior to 1700. The first public show was held in 1768 and shows have been held yearly since then. Brunswick Organic Nursery Brunswick a charity offering work experience to adults with learning difficulties, producing organic vegetables, fruit, plants, cut flowers and handmade quality crafts. Cats Protection (York) Local branch of the national charity. We rescue and re-home unwanted cats and kittens via our Adoption Centre at Huntington and fundraise via our shop on Walmgate. Climate Concern UK Campaign group to raise public awareness of climate change. Danesmead Residents and Meadows Association (DRAMA) DRAMA manages and maintains the natural environment of a meadow, pond and orchard in the Fulford area of York.
