What's a PDF?Forms and documents on our site are usually PDFs. This means that they are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format and you need Acrobat Reader to view it. Get this free viewer from the Adobe Systems website. Each time there is a PDF on the site it will what size it is and how many pages it is. It is useful to know this as sometimes very large PDFs can take a long time to download if you are accessing the internet using a modem. Blind and partially sighted usersWe use access.adobe.com to convert PDF files to plain text for blind and partially sighted users with screen-readers. Diagrams and tables of statistics are hard to interpret when converted for this use. The council is not responsible for the content or reliability of external websites.
