Gain a qualification in word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets & Improving Productivity.

You will find the skills and confidence to use the more advanced features of Microsoft Word such as tables, mail merge and graphics.  Create spreadsheets using various formulas and functions and create graphs and charts to display your information using Excel.  Produce presentations and slide shows using PowerPoint and then demonstrate your ability to apply the relevant skills and knowledge gained to produce a work based scenario final assessment.

The fee for all tests are included in the cost, there is a £10  refundable deposit required for each book, if needed, on top of the online software provided. You will need to provide a memory stick.   Attendance is required at the start of the course to gain an understanding of the online system, there are a variety of days\evenings and times available for this induction onto the course.  To achieve this course you need to study for at least 4 hrs a week.

You should already be able to use Microsoft Office to a Level 1 standard.   An online initial diagnostic will need to be completed if you don’t already hold a Level 1 IT qualification.  You will be someone who wants to gain a qualification that is recognised in the job market which will enable you to use the main Microsoft packages up to a business standard.

The course will be assessed by undertaking a 45 minute exam at the end of each of the first 3 modules and 1 hour for the final module.  To take an exam you will be required to attend a centre at an agreed testing time in exam conditions.  Once all four exams have been achieved successfully you will receive a certificate for the BCS ECDL ITQ Level 2.
