Tales From A Prairie JournalReadings from women poets, novelists and prose writers nurtured by York-based publishers Fighting Cock Press and Stairwell Books. Small presses are vital for marginalized writers today. Editors Pauline Kirk and Rose Drew explain why publication is a shared venture and give advice on how to submit work.

Pauline Kirk and Rose Drew edit two small presses based in York, and are published writers themselves. They have wide experience of publishing, and will discuss how small presses can support women writers. See www.paulinemkirk.co.uk and www.stairwellbooks.co.uk
